Fierce criticism of Vettel penalty hurts Canada steward Pirro
Emanuele Pirro, the drivers steward on the panel that handed Sebastian Vettel his Canadian Grand Prix penalty, says he is hurt by criticism he has received from former racers. Pirro has become the villain of the piece in some eyes after Vettel had victory in Montreal taken away by his sanction. Lewis Hamilton inherited victory from Vettel after the German was punished for an unsafe return to the track in the path of the Mercedes driver.
