Steiner calls for F1 to ditch “kinder surprise” tyres

Haas boss Guenther Steiner has called for Formula One to switch back to last year’s tyre spec, following teams struggling to adapt to the tyres this season. Steiner says that teams never know how the tyres will behave when they turn up to a new racetrack. The new, thinner 2019 tyres were supposed to stop blistering, but they have caused more problems than solutions for some teams.
