Sainz calls for McLaren focus ahead of Canada

Carlos Sainz has warned against his McLaren team getting complacent as the constructors aim to strengthen their grip on their place as best of the rest in the midfield battle. Since a difficult start to the season, Sainz has had an upturn in form, highlighted by his sixth-place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix his best of the season. Sainz himself is seventh in the Drivers' Championship, contributing 18 of McLaren's 30 points in their race to top the midfield. The Spaniard has scored in the last three races and will be hoping he can build up some momentum to establish himself at the front of the pack.
