Ricciardo happy with qualifying result

Daniel Ricciardo has revealed his pleasure at reaching Q3 during qualifying of the Monaco Grand Prix, as both Renault drivers had relatively good results at the Principality. Despite being nowhere near the front of the grid, as Mercedes and Max Verstappen fought for that, Ricciardo came seventh in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix whilst Nico Hulkenberg qualified in P11. The result marks a considerable improvement from the team who have so far struggled for consistency and pace. Ricciardo will also start a place further forward in P6 due to Pierre Gasly’s penalty for blocking Romain Grosjean.
