IndyCar to use new version of Red Bull Aeroscreen in 2020

IndyCar have announced the decision to introduce a new version of Red Bull’s Aeroscreen as a safety implement in 2020. The Aeroscreen had initially been tested in Formula 1 in 2016 but without the structure similar to the Halo currently used on the inside. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is  the CEO of Red Bull Advanced Technologies in collaboration with IndyCar. Horner said in a statement on IndyCar’s website: “Since the first prototypes were developed and demonstrated in 2016, the potential of Aeroscreen to improve the safety for drivers in the event of frontal impacts in the cockpit area of cars has been clear. “This new partnership...
