Mexico set to drop off F1 calendar in 2020

The Mexican Grand Prix is set to be dropped from the Formula 1 calendar in 2020 in favour of the newly announced return of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. Mexico returned to the F1 calendar back in 2015 after an absence of 23 years but is now rumoured to be the next venue to make way for the upcoming Vietnam and Dutch Grands Prix. According to N Mexico, the government agency Corporación Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE) that is responsible for organising the event does not have necessary funding from the country's government to agree on a new deal with Liberty Media.
