Silverstone deny new British GP deal agreed

Silverstone have denied reports that a new three-year deal to host the British Grand Prix has been agreed and talks are still ongoing. The 2019 British Grand Prix is the last to be taking place at Silverstone under the current agreement, with Silverstone owners, the BRDC, and Formula 1 owners Liberty Media engaged in lengthy talks to keep the prestigious race on the calendar. According to Motorsport Week on Tuesday, Silverstone and Liberty had agreed on a new three-year deal which would reportedly run from 2020 to 2022.
