When Edmund stepped out of Schumacher's shadow

On this day in 1999, Eddie Irvine won the Australian Grand Prix, his first win for Ferrari. Edmund's luck that day was two-fold however. Scuderia leader Michael Schumacher had to start from the back of the grid while both McLarens ahead of him retired, gifting the Irishman his very first F1 triumph.
