F1 predicts “20% improvement” in racing with 2019 rule changes
F1 boss Ross Brawn has predicted a 20% improvement in racing due to the 2019 rule changes. Brawn has revealed that the new rules will increase overtaking due to the introduction of a more simple front wing which will impact the aerodynamics of the cars. The rule changes have been introduced to promote close racing and should mean that cars following another car are less impacted. When speaking to Formula1.com Brawn said that “Until the cars run, we don’t know what solutions they have made, but from predictions, we’re achieving about 20% improvement.” More significant rule changes will be made in 2021 and Brawn has said that the teams will be...
