Happy birthday, Robert Kubica!

Robert Kubica's 34th birthday celebrations might be sweeter than others have been in recent years after the Pole's dream of returning to the Formula 1 grid was realised. Kubica will be an F1 racer once again in 2019 after he was handed a race set by Williams. Kubica suffered life-altering arm injuries in a rally crash in 2011. The incident curtailed his F1 career and also denied him the chance to race for Ferrari in the 2012 season, with a deal to drive in Scuderia scarlet having been agreed. Ferrari offered Kubica a deal to work for them next year as a simulator driver, but the pull of a race seat proved too much.
