Alonso looking to put ‘disappointing Austin' behind him

Fernando Alonso says he will be looking to put a difficult weekend in Austin behind him ahead of this weekend's 2018 Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix. The McLaren F1 Team driver qualified 16th on Saturday, missing out on Q2 by three tenths of a second. His Sunday at the Circuit of the Amercias was also short lived, when Williams Martini Racing‘s Lance Stroll made an optimistic dive up Alonso's inside, forcing him to retire. “I want to put the disappointing race in Austin behind me as quickly as possible,' said Alonso.
