Banned Ferrucci issues apology for 'mental lapse'

Haas development driver Santino Ferrucci has apologised for his 'poor judgement' during the Formula Two races at Silverstone. After footage emerged of Ferrucci crashing into Trident team-mate Arjun Maini after the chequered flag, he was handed a four-race ban and fined 60,000, meaning he will not compete in the Feature or Sprint races at the Hungaroring or Spa-Francorchamps. He was also given a further 6,000 fine for breaching other regulations during the event. In a statement released on Twitter, Ferrucci said: 'I want to send my sincerest apologies for my actions on Sunday at the FIA F2 race at Silverstone Circuit.
