Alonso: My best qualifying of the year

Fernando Alonso feels he maximised McLaren’s potential in qualifying for the British Grand Prix and despite being down in 13th he's confident of targeting a points finish at Silverstone. The two-time Formula 1 world champion continued his flawless record of out-qualifying teammate Stoffel Vandoorne on his way to Q2 but was unable to reach the pole position shootout session in 13th.
