Red Bull and McLaren to experience Renault power boost this weekend

Renault have confirmed that themselves and their customers will receive a power boost for qualifying on Saturday. This could help propel Red Bull forward on their home track and give McLaren some hope of a bounce back. Qualifying is harder this weekend on a shorter, quicker track. A lap can be completed in just over 1 minute meaning cars will be closer together. Cyril Abiteboul told Auto Motor und Sport earlier today about the news. "We have a qualifying mode now, for both us and our customers. Before we were able to call on a bit more performance in qualifying, but now the jump is significant."
