Vandoorne looking to improve performance at Red Bull Ring
Stoffel Vandoorne is aiming to up his game in Austria as his McLaren team continue to struggle towards the back of the pack. Vandoorne eventually finished in 12th position in France however spent most of his time down the order near the back. The Belgian said he was disappointed not to score points for the team having been left as the sole surviving McLaren after teammate Fernando Alonso was forced to retire near the end of the race. "I had a decent race, I overtook Ericsson and Fernando at the end, so it was a positive afternoon for me. But we didn’t get any points for the team, which is unfortunate," he said.
