Alonso thinks McLaren "just slow in qualifying"

Fernando Alonso wasn't surprised by his car's performance in qualifying ahead of the French Grand Prix, even though the Spaniard finished all the way down in P16 in his McLaren. It was another disappointing outing for the British team, as neither of their cars were able to make it out of Q1. Still, Alonso claimed that there was nothing wrong with the MCL33, other than it just being slow in qualifying. "The car was working but it was slow,” Alonso told Crash.net.  “There was nothing wrong with the balance, it felt okay over the laps but the timed lap was not quick enough to get to Q2 so it was a disappointing day.
