Haas draws line through unrepresentative Monaco performance

Haas is eager to move on from its disappointment at the Monaco Grand Prix having been anchored to the back of the Formula 1 field struggling for performance at the street circuit. The US team had braced for a difficult round in Monaco with the slow-speed, maximum downforce circuit not suiting its VF-18’s strengths while Romain Grosjean was also set to serve a three-place grid penalty for his first lap Spanish Grand Prix crash. The team's performance issues were compounded by being forced to take off some aerodynamic parts on the car due breaks caused by design and manufacturing flaws.
