Romain Grosjean leads opening morning of in-season F1 test

Haas’ Romain Grosjean bounced back from his Spanish Grand Prix crash to lead the morning session of the first day of Formula 1 in-season testing. Formula 1 teams have stayed on at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for two days of running, with all 10 squads in attendance, and a mixture of experienced and young drivers in the cockpit. Grosjean, who trigged a multi-car pile-up at the start of Sunday’s race, posted a time of 1:18.449 on Pirelli’s Hypersoft tyres to take top spot in a four-hour session in warm and sunny conditions, which ran green throughout.
