Vettel smashes testing best
Sebastian Vettel surged to the fastest time of pre-season testing so far on the penultimate morning as he became the first driver to lap in the 1:17s in Barcelona. The German's 1:17.182 on hypersoft tyres set a new unofficial lap record around the Circuit de Catalunya and bettered what Daniel Ricciardo and Red Bull had managed on Wednesday by nearly nine tenths of a second.
