McLaren hits early trouble as F1 testing resumes

McLaren hit early trouble on the opening day of the second Formula 1 pre-season test in Barcelona as Stoffel Vandoorne suffered two stoppages within the first hour of running on Tuesday. Following a mixed opening test that saw McLaren lose track time to some minor car problems and bad weather, the team looked to hit the groud running by sending Vandoorne out early on the first day of the final winter test. However, Vandoorne's car came to a halt halfway down the pit lane following his installation lap, forcing the McLaren mechanics to push his stricken MCL33 the remainder of the way. Vandoorne returned to the track following a check from the McLaren team, only for a red flag to be thrown...
