F1 confirms 'F1 TV' over-the-top streaming service

Formula 1 has announced its first plans for its new over-the-top streaming service, F1 TV, that will be made available in early 2018. Following Liberty Media's takeover of F1 in January 2017, a shift in the sport's approach to broadcasting was known to be in the works to capitalise on significant online interest in a streaming service. The first plans for the service, called 'F1 TV', were announced on Tuesday, reaching more than 20 countries and being made available in multiple languages, with two tiers being made available to fans.
