Latifi to miss F1 testing after serious infection

Force India reserve driver Nicholas Latifi will miss this week's Formula 1 pre-season test in Barcelona after being hospitalised by a serious infection. Formula 2 racer Latifi joined Force India in a junior role for 2018 back in January, and was listed as part of its driver line-up for the opening F1 test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, slated to take Thursday's running. However, the Canadian revealed on Twitter on Monday morning that he would be ruled out for the next four weeks after a stint in hospital with a serious infection, but was now recovering at home.
