F1 Gossip: Briatore handed jail sentence for tax evasion
- Former Benetton and Renault F1 team boss Flavio Briatore was handed an 18-month jail sentence for tax evasion on Saturday, but intends to appeal (AFP) - Hockenheim marketing director Jorn Teske says the decision to scrap grid girls in favour of grid kids is "very welcome" to the circuit, helping to expose the sport to a wider audience (Bild) - The FIA is working "very closely" with INDYCAR following a positive first test of the American series' 'windscreen' cockpit protection at Phoenix last week (RACER) - Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost has called on youngster Sean Gelael to fight for the Formula 2 title in 2018 if he wants to further his F1 ambitions...
