Sirotkin was the "best driver available" for Williams

Williams Formula 1 team's chief technical officer Paddy Lowe says Sergey Sirotkin was "the best driver available" for the seat alongside Lance Stroll in the outfit's 2018 line-up. Former Renault reserve Sirotkin, who is backed by Russian programme and reportedly brings a financial package worth around £15million, emerged as favourite to replace Felipe Massa in the Grove-based team following a strong showing in the Abu Dhabi test.
