Schumacher family karting complex set to close

The Schumacher family karting circuit in Kerpen, where brothers Michael and Ralf launched their motorsport careers, is set to close. The karting site, located about 30 kilometers from the city of Cologne , has apparently been earmarked for coal mining from 2020 by German company RWE. Fans and friends continue to hope for Schumacher recovery "There will be no new kart track," Ralf Schumacher told Kolner Express. "The joint search with RWE has not led to a new location.
