British kitchen porter Leigh wins F1's eSports title

British kitchen porter Brendon Leigh became Formula 1’s first official eSports Series world champion on Saturday night, with the series decided in a last lap move. Leigh, who is 18 and comes from Reading, was one of four drivers who had a chance of winning the title in the finale. But it had all appeared to go wrong halfway through the race around the Yas Marina circuit when he was hit by a rival. But a charging fightback, and a brilliant last-lap move under braking for the chicane at the end of the main straight, was enough to secure him the title after rival Fabrizio Donoso Delgado cut the corner in a bid to stay ahead.
