Stewards take no further action against Max Verstappen
Stewards at the Mexican Grand Prix have opted to take no further action against Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, after he was alleged to have impeded Valtteri Bottas during qualifying. Verstappen moved to the left of the circuit between Turns 12 and 13 during the opening run, and Bottas, on a hot lap, duly locked up into Turn 13. Verstappen went on to qualify second while Bottas abandoned his effort and promptly set the fourth-best time on his next attempt. Stewards investigated the incident but elected to take no further action, meaning Verstappen will line up alongside Sebastian Vettel on the front row of the grid.
