Grosjean left perplexed by heavy Q1 crash
aas' Romain Grosjean says he was left puzzled by the crash which eliminated him from qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix.Attempting to progress to Q2, Grosjean lost control of his VF-17 through the first part of the Esses section at Suzuka.After oversteering through the left-handed Turn 3, Grosjean was left compromised into Turn 4 and drifted wide onto the grass, before spearing into the barriers on the approach to Turn 5.The crash meant he was out of qualifying after setting only the 16th best time in the session."I'm OK; the first run was actually really good," said Grosjean."I had a big moment into Turn 11, which lost me a lot of time on Kevin [Magnussen], so I think...
