Hamilton may 'take a knee' at United States GP

Lewis Hamilton has said he might join the ‘take a knee’ protest when the national anthem is played ahead of the United States Grand Prix next month. The Mercedes driver has already spoken openly about his support for the anti-racism campaign, which has intensified after US president Donald Trump criticised NFL players for their lack of respect in kneeling during the anthems. With the next F1 race taking place in the US, Hamilton is aware of a huge platform he has to show his support on October 22 – although at the moment he remains unsure about what he will do.
