Kubica set for Williams private test – reports

Robert Kubica will reportedly be given the opportunity to take part in a private test for Williams ahead of potentially joining the team in 2018. With Renault opting to take Carlos Sainz on a year-long loan from the Red Bull family, it closed the door on the Pole returning to Formula 1 with his former team. However, Kubica is still determined to complete the long road to recovery from his rally accident and, since it was reported that he had asked for his release from Renault, he has taken on reigning World Champion and former Williams driver Nico Rosberg as part of his management team.
