Sainz: I'd be last to know about early Renault move

Carlos Sainz says he would be the last to know if Renault chose to call him up early to replace to Jolyon Palmer during the current Formula 1 season. Sainz will join Renault next season on loan, after the Spaniard was released by Red Bull as part of a complex deal that involved Toro Rosso switching from Renault to Honda power. Renault is keen to get Sainz in the car, alongside Nico Hulkenberg, as soon as possible and potentially from as early as the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix. But Palmer and his team want to see out the remainder of the season and are standing firm on the contract that is in place.
