Honda deciding on 'Spec 4' engine for FP1
– Honda is pondering whether to trial its 'Spec 4' engine during practice for the Italian Grand Prix, with the latest development now on the table after it missed the cut for the previous round in Belgium.Honda had hoped to use Spec 4 at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend, but failed to meet its target and put Fernando Alonso on 'Spec 3.5' and Stoffel Vandoorne on 'Spec 3.6'.Vandoorne also ended up running Spec 3.5, along with Alonso, after a potential issue was detected post-FP2, and his final grid penalty stood at 65-places, as he stockpiled PU components.At Monza, where McLaren-Honda is expecting to struggle even more, Honda's Spec 4 is available for use, but the partnership will...
