Kubica passes mandatory cockpit extraction test

Robert Kubica has reportedly passed the mandatory cockpit extraction test ahead of Wednesday's run at the Hungaroring. The Polish driver will return to the competitive stage for the first time his rally crash when he drives the Renault RS17 on Day Two of the post-Hungarian GP test. However, in order to get the go-ahead from the FIA, the 32-year-old had to pass the cockpit extraction test. Article 13.1.4 of the FIA's F1 regulations, a driver cannot race unless they can – while wearing wear full race kit and helmet – climb out of the cockpit and replace the steering wheel within 10 seconds.
