Vandoorne completes latest Pirelli wet-weather tyre test

Pirelli has concluded its latest in-season tyre test, with McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne completing two-days of running at the former French Grand Prix venue, Magny Cours. Pirelli is allowed 25 days of in-season testing with 2017 cars this season, and the Formula 1 supplier chose to focus on improving its wet weather tyres, specifically the intermediate tyre, with the test taking place across Wednesday and Thursday. Vandoorne completed 135 laps of trouble-free running on Wednesday and a further 117 laps on Thursday, bringing the Belgian's total to 252, or 1,108km – just under four race distances.
