Todt wants 12 teams on Formula 1 grid

– FIA President Jean Todt has stated that he hopes to increase the size of the Formula 1 grid again in the near future, with 12 teams his ideal number.As it stands, 10 teams make up the Formula 1 grid, with US-led Haas the latest to arrive for the 2016 season, following the sport's latest tender, held in 2013.Formula 1 last fielded 12 outfits back in 2012, when 2010's trio of entrants – Marussia (Virgin), Caterham (Lotus) and HRT (Hispania) still existed.However, all three gradually dropped off the grid, HRT after the 2012 season, Caterham after the 2014 season and most recently the rebranded Manor, over the 2016/17 winter period.Todt, speaking to selected media at the FIA Sport...
