F1 CEO Carey to start Le Mans 24hrs

– Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey will start this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans race.Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, confirmed in a press conference on Friday that the Liberty Media chief will wave the French tricolore on Saturday afternoon.Fillon hopes the move will demonstrate "new ties" between the championships.FIA President Jean Todt recently met with Formula 1, WEC and Formula E chiefs "to work towards a better alignment of all motorsport championship schedules" in the future."I am delighted that Chase Carey immediately accepted the invitation to be 2017 race starter," said Fillon."By starting the race side by side, we will...
