Mercedes deny Eddie Jordan's 'mischievous' F1 quit comments

Mercedes have moved to deny comments made by Formula 1 pundit and former team owner Eddie Jordan after the Irishman said the team would likely quit the sport after the 2018 season. Jordan said the team would likely pull out of F1 having achieved what it set out by winning three consecutive championships with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg between 2014 and 2016. Team boss Toto Wolff described Jordan's comments as 'baseless' and 'mischievous speculation of one individual' in a statement issued on Wednesday.
