Renault sets sights on sixth before F1 summer break

Renault chief Cyril Abiteboul has challenged the team to move up a position in the Constructors' Championship prior to the mid-season summer break. Renault, which placed ninth upon its full-time return to Formula 1 last year, currently holds seventh in the standings, courtesy of Nico Hülkenberg's run of points finishes in Bahrain, Russia and Spain. The results lifted Renault to seventh in the table, though sits six points adrift of Williams and is now level on points with Haas, following the American team's double score in Monaco, a race in which Hülkenberg failed to finish and Jolyon Palmer classified out of the top 10.
