Fernando Alonso's failure caused by oil leak - Honda

Fernando Alonso's first practice power unit failure was caused by an oil leak according to Honda, which caused the Spaniard to stop on circuit after just three corners of his out-lap this morning. Alonso's McLaren came to a stop after a half spin caused by the rear-axle locking following a failure of the power unit. With smoke and oil pouring from his MCL32, he quickly exited the cockpit as the recovery team set about removing his stricken car from the track.
