Giovinazzi drops to P18 after penalty

– Sauber's Antonio Giovinazzi has been handed a five-place grid penalty for the Chinese Grand Prix after his team was forced to change the gearbox in his C36-Ferrari.Giovinazzi was set for Q2 but crashed out during the final stages of Q1 after losing control of his car exiting the final left-hander at Turn 14.Giovinazzi qualified in 15th position but has now been dropped five places as a result of the unscheduled gearbox change.The Italian will be able to start 18th, however, with Romain Grosjean and Jolyon Palmer, who qualified 17th and 18th respectively, having also been handed five-place drops, for failing to sufficiently slow for the incident.Giovinazzi's drop therefore promotes...
