Hamilton's morning running curtailed by floor damage

Barcelona Testing – Lewis Hamilton had his morning's work compromised by some floor damage on his new W08 during the opening day of the second test. With testing resuming at the Catalan Circuit De Catalunya, Mercedes were aiming for impressive mileage to kick off the week. This they managed, racking up 135 laps over the day in the hands of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. The Finn covered the greater mileage, but it was Hamilton with the quicker time – some half a second faster during the morning session.
