Ferrari junior Leclerc in frame for Sauber reserve role
Ferrari Driver Academy member and GP2 racer Charles Leclerc is in contention for the reserve driver role at Sauber. The 2016 GP3 champion took part in four FP1 sessions for Haas last year, and he could yet be named for the same job by the US-owned team, although no decision has been made yet. However, doubts over Pascal Wehrlein's fitness have made the Sauber role potentially more interesting, although the German has been declared fit to test at Barcelona this week. Antonio Giovinazzi was loaned to the Swiss team for last week's testing, but the Italian has already been named as Ferrari’s reserve for the season. Leclerc, who also tested for Ferrari at Silverstone last year, is graduating...
