Crash for Vettel ends Fiorano tyre test early
Sebastian Vettel ended the first day of a Pirelli wet weather tyre test at Fiorano early with a crash into the barriers. The German was driving a modified Ferrari SF15-T 2015 car on the artificially dampened track to evaluate the progress Pirelli had made on their new wet tyres for the upcoming season, which are wider than the previous incarnation of the Cinturato rubber. Further changes have also been made to the structure and compound in response to criticisms from drivers regarding a lack of confidence in the grip of the full wet tyre.
