Vettel crash interrupts Ferrari/Pirelli wet test

Ferrari’s day of wet-weather tyre testing in association with sole supplier Pirelli was interrupted after Sebastian Vettel suffered a crash at Fiorano. Pirelli has been granted two days of wet weather running in order to gather data for its 2018 tyres, with Vettel in action in Ferrari’s modified 2015 car on Thursday. Images surfaced online showing Vettel sliding wide at a right-hander at the Italian test track and hitting the barriers, during a test which took place in cool conditions.
