Kubica confirmed as WEC driver for 2017

Former Formula One driver Robert Kubica will participate in the World Endurance Championship in 2017 after signing for the ByKolles LMP1 team. The 32-year-old former BMW Sauber and Renault Formula One driver completed a successful test at the end of the 2016 World Endurance Championship season and previously expressed an interest in joining the series for 2017. Kubica joins alongside Briton Oliver Webb (25), a former European Le Mans Series champion, who raced for ByKolles in 2016. The identity of their third-and-final driver is yet to be revealed.
