Frederic Vasseur leaves Renault leading role

Renault team boss Frederic Vasseur has stepped down, with Jerome Stoll & Cyril Abiteboul taking over the day to day running of the team. Renault announced on Wednesday that a mutual agreement was reached between themselves and Vasseur, with the former boss stepping down immediately. However, it is expected that Vasseur will be taking up a new role within the team, having worked as team boss since Renault returned as a fully-fledged factory outfit at the start of 2016. Renault are currently expanding their operations for 2017, and have announced that their new car will be launched on February 21.
