Wehrlein 'ready for the job' at Mercedes
– Pascal Wehrlein says he would feel "ready for the job" of replacing Nico Rosberg at Mercedes for the 2017 season, following the World Champion's shock retirement from Formula 1.Rosberg's announcement, made on Friday, has freed up a space alongside Lewis Hamilton, with Mercedes-backed Wehrlein one of many names mentioned as a potential replacement.Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has stated that the brand will "take time" over the decision, as it weighs up whether to promote youth, such as Wehrlein, or plump for an established F1 name.Wehrlein, speaking at the Autosport Awards in London, where he collected the 'Rookie of the Year' award for his efforts at Manor in 2016,...
