F1 stewards aim for 'better consistency'
– Formula 1 stewards are looking at holding regular de-brief meetings to review Grands Prix in an attempt to achieve "better consistency" with their decision-making.Several drivers criticised the consistency of penalties in 2016, while Charlie Whiting moved to publicly explain stewards' decisions after a controversial Mexican Grand Prix.Formula 1 stewards met at an end-of-season conference in Vienna earlier this week, and group Chairman Garry Connelly is confident that improvements will be made."We went through a lot of rules and looked at how we can work with the FIA to tidy up the wording, enabling us to take quicker decisions," Connelly explained."We...
