Toro Rosso confirms Kvyat gearbox failure
– Toro Rosso confirmed that an ailing gearbox truncated Daniil Kvyat's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on a difficult weekend for the team.Toro Rosso completed only minimal running in practice after suffering two punctures on Friday, compromising the team's efforts, and leaving both Kvyat and Carlos Sainz Jr. knocked out in Q1.Kvyat moved up from 17th to 13th at the start but retired shortly afterwards, and caused amusement by cycling back to the paddock on a road bike."It's a shame we had to retire, as the race wasn't looking that bad after only having completed five laps in the practice sessions," he said."We were fighting with Haas and Renault and I had a lot of fun,...
