Sainz says Toro Rosso's weekend "a disaster" so far
Carlos Sainz has labelled his Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend a "disaster" so far after qualifying on the final row of the grid on Saturday. The Toro Rosso driver and teammate Daniil Kvyat have been unable to run properly following the problems that the Russian had with the wheel rims during Friday practice. The team made changes to the suspension of its cars for Saturday, but both drivers spent most of final practice in the garage. Sainz struggled for pace in qualifying and finished down in 21st position, only ahead of the Sauber of Marcus Ericsson. The Spaniard said the weekend had been the worst of 2016 so far.
